WORLDly reVISIONing

God’s picture of his love for the church was knit into the male/female love relationship of the first man and woman. Separate and different, they were placed in an ordained and indissoluble marriage. From the start, God placed this physical, emotional and spiritual picture into the world as a constant reflection of his image, demonstrating to us both the differentiation of the persons of the Trinity (distinct persons with differing roles, yet one in nature) and the unbreakable love relationship between Christ and his church.

Icky Theology Doesn’t Hack It

The Twoist historic biblical faith celebrates the representative ideological importance of heterosexuality. In the beginning, reflecting God’s Trinitarian image of difference in unity, human beings were made male and female (Gen 1:27-8), and that structure mirrored the Twoist “mystery” of Christ’s redeeming love for his bride, the church (Eph 5:32). There is no appeal to “icky,” no incitement to hate in this argument. Biblical cosmology brings light to the discussion and, in God’s grace, prepares hearts for conversion and life-changing behavior. As the Apostle Paul said, “And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:11

Your Grammys’ Church

The vacuous marriage sacrament of the “Grammys religion” and its further trivialization as an entertainment stunt, only underlines the spiritually empty gospel that Tinsel Town and its beautiful people were pushing, unopposed, into the homes of people who pay these artists their inflated salaries. There is no competing message, no other opinion allowed from other artists, no apparent way for so many to hear the truth. This is a formula for cultural collapse.

Have Yourself a Merry Twoist Christmas

When Adam and Eve failed by refusing to trust their future to the word of their Maker, the rightful Twoist structure of God and the creation became a cosmic war, between the forces of evil and the promised seed of the woman. Through further insignificant elements--the individual Abraham, the tiny nation of Israel, the 300 under Gideon, and finally though this newly-born baby in a food trough in around 2BC, God was working his plan of redemption, though in seemingly unimpressive ways. Since the project had gone south, through the failure of human beings at a significant moment in history, there was no “joy from the world,” only the funeral dirge of human failure. In all honesty, we need help from the outside, from the divine Other, from the new Adam who paid the price of human sin by bearing its punishment on a small hill outside Jerusalem.

A Culture Lost and a Call to Action

We must now ask, “When is a culture finally 'given over'”? According to Paul, this occurs when the leading cultural institutions “exchange” their public confession of God as the Creator for interfaith divinized nature; when their worship of the immortal God is “exchanged” for the worship of mortal man and animals; and when their public legitimation of “natural” sexuality is “exchanged” for the promotion of “unnatural” sexual expressions (Rom 1:23, 25, 26). At that point, says Paul, “they are given over” (Rom. 1:24, 26, 28).

The Dichotomy of Thought in Christian and Non-Christian Worldviews

God calls us to “renew our minds” and to “have the mind of Christ.” This year’s conference is designed to not only to wake us all up to many of the disturbing and anti-Godly elements embedded in our culture and society, but it is designed to shake us all up and get us back on our knees repenting and crying out for God’s power and mercy. Our goal is to renew Christian minds to once again seek to be like that of our Lord and Savior and once again be salt and light to our nation, which is morally falling apart before our very eyes.

10 Years of Christian Witness to a Oneist Planet

"The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day" (Prov 4:18). Doesn't it seem that the Bible promises too much? Can our feeble plans really shine brighter each day? Ten years ago, truthXchange peeked over the horizon to shine as a Christian Witness to a Pagan Planet. Today under a new name, truthXchange is just as committed and encouraged in this vision and mission.

Let the Little Ones Come to Me! — Social Justice Gone Awry

Christians cannot dig wells in Africa without telling thirsty sinners of the wells of salvation. They cannot speak of blessings without speaking also of the curse of human evil. Children must hear the difference between the Lie and the Truth in order to place their trust in Jesus as their only Savior, and we must obey the Savior’s command: “Let the little ones come to me.”

Public Honors for “Christian” Heresy

The most renowned and most quoted experts on Gnosticism, two German scholars, Hans Jonas and Kurt Rudolph (no tender Evangelicals), reject the notion that Gnosticism is a form of Christianity. For Jonas, Gnosticism is an ancient form of modern existentialism. For Rudolph, it is an independent world religion, “a parasite prosper[ing] on the soil of a host religion [Christianity],” which, in its essence, was “monistic,” that is Oneist.
