The ripping away of the “sacred canopy” is what has happened to Western culture during my lifetime. “Canopy” is an image used by the sociologist Peter Berger to describe a culture’s “state of predictable order,” an order assumed by all, that makes human culture work. Thus we all get along. [Berger, Peter L. The Sacred […]
Namaste, Satan! These are surely shocking words to the ears of most yoga enthusiasts, who find the association of yoga with Satan to be both disturbing and incongruous with their own understanding and experience of yoga. Yet, so begins an article announcing yoga classes to be held in the Satanic Temple of Salem, Massachusetts. How […]
The god of gay marriage and yoga is not the transcendent personal Creator of Scripture, but the divine self within, who creates its own reality and the laws to go with it. So, losing the God of Scripture is not merely a religious event. It means we lose the objective source of law.
Christians must realize that you cannot preach the Gospel without the first statement of the creed, as the apostle Paul shows. Christ the Savior is the Creator. Christ is “the image of the invisible God,…by [whom] all things were created,… the firstborn from the dead, [who] made peace by the blood of his cross”(Col 1:15-20). Of his world, as the angel Gabriel declared, there will be no end (Luke 1:33). May Christmas 2012 remind us of that unique birth, the proof that God, not the Mayan calendar, is in control of history.
Is yoga a practice that poses no conflict with the Biblical truth—that our purpose, our objective moral standards and our salvation are found outside of ourselves, outside of time and space, in the Person of the great I AM who is distinctly not us?

Black Fathers and White Fathersby Dr. Peter Jones | April 22, 2022
Part of Critical Race Theory is the assumption that racism is inevitably related to white male heterosexuality and the oppressive patriarchy that occurs under the selfish rule of powerful father-figures. Thus, the contemporary version of a “man” in U.S. society is “hyper-masculine, straight, and white…the wealthy white male property owner.” So “…we must begin to […]
Still Time to Care About the Whole Gospelby Dr. Peter Jones | March 2, 2022
In his book Still Time to Care (2021), Greg Johnson, an intelligent Christian thinker, seeks to make a valid case for allowing someone who, like himself, is openly same-sex attracted, gay, and celibate to be an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America. Johnson adopts a profoundly orthodox and well exegetically supported view of biblical sexuality. […]
Post-Christian Ideologies at Christian and Secular Collegesby David Talcott | February 24, 2022
For some time now, truthXchange has been warning the church about the inroads that post-Christian ideologies are making into Christian colleges. A recent series of articles in mainstream outlets shows just how bad things have […]
