By Dr. E Cal BeisnerSenior Teaching Fellow In my years as a seminary professor of ethics, I saw few things more sinister and devious than the seemingly innocuous statement, “a biblically shaped commitment to the sanctity of human life compels us to a consistent ethic of life that affirms the sanctity of human life from […]
Liberation-Not For Everybody
It is shocking to see in our Western culture a worldview that “progresses” by way of lies into moral chaos and human tragedy. Expressed with studied ambiguity, these lies anesthetize the next generation to the only true morality on which genuine human culture can survive. Journalist William Smith notes the fall-out: The present cultural conflict […]
Monster Lies about Babies’ Lives
Today’s cultural progressives believe they have cornered “the right [and moral] side of history,” leading to the global unity of all peoples. Ban Ki-moon, the UN General Secretary, says it clearly: “the United Nations is the hope and home of all humankind.” This same vision motivated the original “united” nations at Babel—“nothing that they propose […]
The Cosmology of Killing
In a time when the ethical standards of Christianity are increasingly rejected, objections to the immorality of this scourge upon our culture are typically seen as mere moralising – the outdated values of social or political conservatives; little more than background noise. As such, Christian morality is often seen as judgmental, self-righteous, or even an expression of hatred. In such a context we need to re-learn to understand our faith and make our case as the early apologists did amongst the pagans – cosmologically, not simply pragmatically. Cosmology simply refers to order or structure. It is the way in which we look at and understand the order of our world. It considers the big picture of reality and the implications which flow from it. The one who ordered all reality, who called it into existence, hallowed the womb by his incarnation, and the implications which flow from this fact are profound indeed.
IO 70: The Gospel for 21st Century Sodom
Regarding “gay marriage” the brilliant New York Times social commentator, Ross Douthat, is batting .500. He is right that present society will not be able to refuse it. He is wrong that it will help salvage our morally challenged world. It is surely true that the Sixties’ “liberation” of sex from marriage and gender (by […]

Black Fathers and White Fathers
by Dr. Peter Jones | April 22, 2022Part of Critical Race Theory is the assumption that racism is inevitably related to white male heterosexuality and the oppressive patriarchy that occurs under the selfish rule of powerful father-figures. Thus, the contemporary version of a “man” in U.S. society is “hyper-masculine, straight, and white…the wealthy white male property owner.” So “…we must begin to […]
Still Time to Care About the Whole Gospel
by Dr. Peter Jones | March 2, 2022In his book Still Time to Care (2021), Greg Johnson, an intelligent Christian thinker, seeks to make a valid case for allowing someone who, like himself, is openly same-sex attracted, gay, and celibate to be an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America. Johnson adopts a profoundly orthodox and well exegetically supported view of biblical sexuality. […]
Post-Christian Ideologies at Christian and Secular Colleges
by David Talcott | February 24, 2022For some time now, truthXchange has been warning the church about the inroads that post-Christian ideologies are making into Christian colleges. The pagan worldview that reasserted itself in America in the late 20th century has now incorporated new ideas about sexuality, race, and other hot-button topics. A recent series of articles in mainstream outlets shows just how bad things have […]
