It’s the 1700 anniversary of Nicaea, and the TruthXchange team tackle questions on:

The Council of Nicaea took place 1700 years ago and almost 300 years after the resurrection of Christ. What are the issues settled at Nicaea? What doctrines arose from that council? Are they new, are they old?

Is Nicaea an archaic thing that happened that has no significant bearing today? Do we need to hold every view of the council? For instance, one questioner stated that “the council of Nicaea  determined Mary as theotokos, and that is an error that haunts the church.”

You mentioned Full-Preterism, what is Preterism?

Emperor Constantine called the council, and great things came from it. Could it not be said, “to have a godly president call a modern day council good also good for today’s divisive denominations?”
